Justin and Antony Matthews are brothers from Hawke's Bay. In 2015 Justin returned from Auckland to Hawke’s Bay to expand Matthews & Matthews Architects. He is excited by the opportunity to contribute to Hawke’s Bay's rich architectural legacy and is committed to improving the built environment by creating fantastic places for people to work, live in, and experience.
While Justin has a general interest in all areas of architecture, he has a particular interest and passion for community projects that tell stories, both past, and present. He is inspired by projects that are meaningful and that will benefit and uplift the community. As can be seen in much of his work Justin also has an eye for contemporary and modern design, and he embraces opportunities to bring this into the rejuvenation of heritage buildings where it can.
Justin is able to interpret the unique aspects of every project. He strives to exceed expectations while taking care to meet his client's requirements. Through exceptional visualisation and planning skills, Justin is able to bring his client's aspirations to life.
With a Degree in Architecture Justin has been with Matthews & Matthews Architects Ltd since 2000. 2020 marks a career in Architecture spanning 20 years.
Justin can be contacted at our Hawkes Bay office located in Central Hastings.
